“Energetic and punchy, with plenty of depth.”
St. Paul, Minnesota // Pop-Punk / Emo / Easycore
Huge hooks, honest lyrics, and enough heavy edges to keep the room from standing still.
The Sound
When pop-punk gets restless.
Halfway Down moves between bright pop-punk, emo, easycore and flashes of metalcore without losing the chorus. The result is direct, melodic and built to hit harder live.
RIYL: Blink-182, A Day to Remember, Four Year Strong, The Wonder Years, The Story So Far.

Want You
A three-minute shot of pure urgency: bright guitars, a stupidly sticky chorus, and no metaphor thick enough to hide behind.

A loud room is the whole point.
Halfway Down delivers a fast, high-contact set built around singalongs, sharp dynamic turns and the occasional breakdown landing like a dropped refrigerator.
Biography
Independent. Restless. Built for the room.
Halfway Down is a pop-punk band from St. Paul, Minnesota, built around huge hooks, emotionally direct lyrics, and enough heavier influence to keep the edges sharp. The three-piece—Blake Deneweth on lead vocals and guitar, Shawn Kraft on guitar and backing vocals, and Cameron Kraft on drums—pulls from pop-punk, emo, easycore, and metalcore without losing sight of the chorus.
Since launching in 2024, Halfway Down has independently built a fourteen-song catalog and surpassed 300,000 Spotify streams. The band was selected for MPR and The Current’s Minnesota Music Month Top 10, received airplay and an interview through The Local Show, and has been covered by V13, Rock the Pigeon, Havoc Underground, Pop Punkers, Never A Phase, and other alternative music outlets.
On July 24, 2026, Halfway Down sold out the 150-capacity Pilllar Forum in Minneapolis alongside When The Sun Sets. Their latest single, “Want You,” was released July 3, 2026, continuing the band’s run of melodic, high-energy songs that balance clean hooks, emotional urgency, and heavier live dynamics.
